— Anjanette

BIO : Elissa Goodman is a Los Angeles based holistic nutritionist and lifestyle cleanse expert. As a cancer survivor and International best-selling author of the book, Cancer Hacks, she set out on a course a few years ago to cure herself of other health issues she had dealt with for over 21 years, Hashimoto’s and Hypothyroidism. Once she realized that many of her clients were walking through the door with the same complaints and symptoms, she became committed to finding the root cause of her own health issues so she could really help her clients. She has healed herself of her autoimmune issues and is dedicated to helping others do the same. In addition to working with clients, Elissa’s cleanse program is available for delivery in Los Angeles and her online programs are available via her website www.elissagoodman.com

3 Questions

What do you love most about your business?

That I get to be a part of the healing process for my clients. When I see the difference in their lives it’s the most fulfilling part of my work. Clients who come in with chronic health issues transform and begin to heal and thrive, it’s incredible to be a part of that change.

Tell us about the journey of how you built your business. How many years did it take you to get to where you are today?

Although nutrition and self-healing were a large part of my cancer journey, I didn’t follow my passionuntil after my husband passed away. I knew that I had to pull myself up and dust myself off and show my daughters that I was strong, they needed that example. I started out with a few clients and was fortunate enough to be connected with Café Gratitude here in Los Angeles and I created their first cleanse program, this led to working relationships with other LA based health brands like Erewhon Market and M Café. Eventually, my practice grew and my client base grew from word of mouth. Three years ago my SOUP Cleanse program became available locally and I continue to work with M Café, Erewhon, and Earth Bar. I also got to a place two years ago where I was ready to sit down and write my first book on my experiences with cancer and what had worked for me to heal. After a year, I am now going back into the writing process and starting to work on my second book, which will be on healing from autoimmune disease.

What words of advice can you give other women entrepreneurs?

Do the work that you need to do to begin to trust yourself, love yourself and listen to your intuition. I didn’t go into this business as evolved as I am today, I became a seeker of knowledge, dedicated to my own healing. I devoted myself to energy work, therapy, and faced some trauma that I didn’t want to deal with. This is truly what opened the door for my business growth and what held me back previously, I didn’t feel worthy of the success. Put the work in yourself first and follow your passion.

Anything else you would like to share with our readers?

I'm so excited about my new project, The Elissa Goodman Show with Focus TV (available on my YouTube channel).

I’m also starting to work on my second book which will be about how I healed from an autoimmune disease. It’s early in the process, but I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned so others can benefit!

One thing is for sure: none of us expected 2020 to pan out quite like this. We’re writing to you from our home, where we’re hunkered down just like so many of you are. We are so thankful to be healthy, and we’re doing our best to laugh through the stress when we can, but this experience has been overwhelming in so many ways.
